Number 3 in the Lego Ninjago Mini Modular designs is here - The Lego Ninjago City set

Well - I seemed to design these in reverse order that Lego released them - so this was number 3 - The Lego Ninjago City set.

Like the City Gardens set, it was an absolute beast to recreate on just an 8x8 stud baseplate!  So many details and intricacies to deal with.

The biggest challenge with this set again wasn't the parts of the buildings themselves but actually all the gaps in between which can reduce stability.  You have to work out where you're going to reconnect areas higher up once you get past a gap.

I really enjoyed designing the black upper roof on this model and the sand green tower sitting on the top.
