Mini Modular Number 11 - Market Street

Another really old one here to do - Market Street - released in 2007 and the original full sized modular was in fact designed by a Lego fan rather than Lego themselves.

This was one quite a quick one to design and put together as it's only really got one full height building on the right hand side with the left hand side being just a canopy over a market.

There was a few key details to try and get in the design - the front steps, the handrails on the balconies and the two different sides to the top floor at the back along with the black 'archway' on the left hand of the model.

It was a shame that Lego didn't release a 4x1 archway brick in the dark blue colour so I had to use the two 1x2 inverted slopes instead to get the 'arch' approach.

In mini-form (and in big form I guess) this one looks a little 'half a model' but still very nice to look at.
